Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Kanchanaburi, head east on the main road (Saeng Chuto Road) towards the Kanchanaburi Railway Station. Continue straight until you reach the intersection near the River Kwai Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the same road. After about 3 kilometers, you will see signs for Wat Tham Phu Wa. Follow the signs and keep walking for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of the temple, which is located in the Nong Ya area.

• Tuk-tuk

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a tuk-tuk from the main street in Kanchanaburi. Simply tell the driver 'Wat Tham Phu Wa' or show them the address: XCP3+54M, Nong Ya, Mueang Kanchanaburi District. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start the journey.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Kanchanaburi. Start from the center of town and head towards the River Kwai Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Saeng Chuto Road. Follow the signs for Wat Tham Phu Wa. The ride is approximately 5 kilometers and offers a scenic view along the way. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the ride!

• Motorbike Taxi

  You can also opt for a motorbike taxi, which you can find around the city. Approach a driver and tell them 'Wat Tham Phu Wa'. The fare is usually affordable, and it will take around 15 minutes to reach the temple. Ensure you wear a helmet for safety.
