Car
From the main gate of Mount Elgon National Park, drive towards the town of Budadiri. Follow the signs to the Sipi Falls area. Once you reach Budadiri, continue on the main road until you see signage for Kaburon. Turn onto the road leading to Kaburon village. After approximately 10 km, look for the coordinates CHVW+HV2, which will be on your left. Ensure to carry a map or GPS device to confirm your location.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
Start at the main park entrance where you can find matatus (shared taxis). Take a matatu heading towards Budadiri. Inform the driver that you are heading to Kaburon. Upon arrival in Budadiri, you may need to switch to another matatu or local taxi that goes directly to Kaburon. Once you reach Kaburon, ask locals for directions to CHVW+HV2, which is a well-known point in the village. Be prepared to walk a short distance from the drop-off point.

If you are already in the vicinity of Kaburon, you can walk to Surident from the village center. Head towards the main road leading out of Kaburon. Use the coordinates CHVW+HV2 as your guide. Follow the road for approximately 1.5 km, and you will find Surident on your right. Walking may take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes.
