If you are driving from the main park area, take the road leading towards the Northern Gate (Tangi). You will pass through the park headquarters and follow the signs directing you to the Northern Gate. The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and takes about 45 minutes, depending on road conditions and wildlife sightings. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as some parts of the road can be bumpy.

Public Transportation
To reach the Northern Gate (Tangi) using public transportation, you will first need to arrange for a taxi or matatu (shared minibus) from the nearest town, Pakwach. In Pakwach, you can find taxis that are heading towards the park. Inform the driver that you wish to go to the Northern Gate. The cost for this trip is approximately 20,000 UGX per person. The journey may take around 1 hour, depending on the number of stops made and the condition of the road.
