From Ayr, take the A70 road heading towards Mauchline. Continue on the A70 for about 8 miles until you reach the village of Mauchline. As you enter Mauchline, turn left onto the B7036 towards Failford. Follow the B7036 for approximately 2 miles, and you will see Highland Mary’s Monument on your left, located at Failford, Mauchline KA5 5TF. There is limited parking available near the monument.

From Ayr, take the Stagecoach bus service 6 towards Mauchline. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the bus stop in Mauchline. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi. If walking, head north on the B7036 road towards Failford, which is about a 2-mile walk. Alternatively, you can call a local taxi service to take you directly to Highland Mary’s Monument. Expect to pay around £5-£10 for the taxi fare.
