    If you're driving, start from Thurso, which is about 20 miles northwest of Dunbeath. Head south on the A9 road, following signs for Wick. After approximately 15 miles, take the exit towards Dunbeath, following the A99. Continue on the A99 for about 5 miles, and you will see signs for Dunbeath. Once you enter the village, look for the Dunbeath Heritage Centre on your right-hand side. There is free parking available nearby.
