If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Head west on A470 towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A496. Continue on A496 for approximately 3 miles, and then turn left onto an unnamed road leading towards Yr Ysgwrn. Follow the road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Yr Ysgwrn. There is free parking available on-site.

To reach Yr Ysgwrn via public transportation, take a train from any station in Gwynedd to Blaenau Ffestiniog train station. Once you arrive at the station, you can either walk or take a local taxi service. The walk to Yr Ysgwrn is approximately 1.5 miles and takes about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can book a taxi from the train station to Yr Ysgwrn, which should cost around £5-£7 depending on the taxi service.

For those who enjoy walking, from Blaenau Ffestiniog train station, head south on High Street and then turn left onto Ffestiniog Road. Follow this road until you reach the A496. Cross the A496 and continue along the footpath that leads towards Yr Ysgwrn. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles and will take you around 30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes!
