If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Betws-y-Coed, which is a central location in Snowdonia National Park. From Betws-y-Coed, take the A5 road towards Capel Curig. After approximately 5 miles, you will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto the A4086 towards Llanberis. Continue on the A4086 for about 6 miles until you reach the village of Llanberis. From Llanberis, follow the signs for A4244 towards the village of Cwm Dyli. After about 2 miles, you will see signs for Castell Carndochan. Follow the narrow lane that leads directly to the castle site, where parking is available.

Public Transportation
To reach Castell Carndochan using public transport, begin your journey at the Betws-y-Coed railway station. Take the train to Llanberis, which may require a change at Bangor. Once you arrive in Llanberis, you can catch the local bus (number 85) that operates towards Cwm Dyli. Ensure you check the bus timetable in advance as services may vary. Alight at the stop closest to the Castell Carndochan and follow the signs for the short walk to the castle site. Note that the bus fare is approximately £3-£5 depending on the distance and the exact route you take.

If you are already in nearby Llanberis and prefer walking, you can hike to Castell Carndochan. Start from the center of Llanberis and head towards the A4086 road. Follow the road for about 2 miles, enjoying the scenic views of Snowdonia along the way. Once you reach the turning for Cwm Dyli, take the narrow lane leading to Castell Carndochan. This walk will take approximately 40 minutes, and it is advisable to wear suitable footwear as the terrain can be uneven.
