Car
From Inverness, take the A9 southbound towards Perth. Continue on the A9 for approximately 30 miles. Take the exit for A86 towards Kingussie. After about 2 miles, you will enter Kingussie. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto the A9. Follow the signs for Ruthven Barracks. The barracks will be located on your left, approximately 0.5 miles from the roundabout. There is free parking available nearby.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Inverness bus station, take the bus service to Kingussie. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving in Kingussie, exit the bus station and walk towards the A9. Head south on the A9 for about 0.5 miles. You will find Ruthven Barracks on your left. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as services may vary.

From Inverness train station, take a train to Kingussie. The journey lasts about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Kingussie station, exit the station and turn right onto the A9.
