From Inverness city center, walk to the bus station located on Farraline Park. Look for the bus service to Tain, which is operated by Stagecoach. Buses run regularly, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic ride to Tain, which should take about 30 to 40 minutes. After arriving in Tain, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile (about 20 minutes) to reach Shandwick Stone. Head south on the A9 road, then take a right onto the B9176. Continue straight until you reach the sign for Shandwick. The stone is located near the beach.
