Getting There

    From Inverness city center, head to the bus station located at Farraline Park. There, take the Stagecoach bus number 25 towards Tain. The bus should take approximately 45 minutes to reach Tain. Once in Tain, get off at the bus stop on the main street near the Tain & District Museum. From there, continue walking east along the High Street, then turn left onto St. Duthus Street. Follow this street until you reach the junction with the A9 road.

    Once you reach the A9 road, carefully cross to the other side and head north towards the Tarbat Ness Lighthouse. You will need to walk approximately 4 miles along the A9. As you approach the coast, keep an eye out for the signs indicating the way to the lighthouse. The path to the lighthouse is not directly on the A9; look for a signpost that directs you to Tarbat Ness. From the A9, follow the walking path that leads you to the lighthouse.
