    If you prefer walking, it will take about 1.5 to 2 hours from Inverness city center to Culloden Battlefield. Start from the city center and head east on the A96 road. Walk along the footpath, keeping to the left for safety. After about 1.5 miles, you will reach a roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout onto the A9 road. After another mile, you will see signs for Culloden Battlefield. Follow the signs, which will lead you to the entrance. Be aware of traffic, as the roads can be busy.

    If you're cycling, start from the city center and head towards the A96 road. Follow the same route as walking, but be sure to use the designated bike lanes wherever available. The total distance is approximately 4 miles. The cycle path will take you through some scenic areas, and it's a relatively flat route, making it suitable for all cycling levels.
