Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to Portree Harbour located at Quay St, Portree IV51 9DE. From anywhere in the Isle of Skye, follow the A87 road towards Portree. Once you reach Portree, follow the signs for the town center. As you approach the center, look for Quay Street, which will lead you directly to the harbour. Parking is available along the street or in nearby public car parks, which may incur a nominal fee.

• Public Bus

  For those using public transportation, take a bus to Portree from various locations on the Isle of Skye. Buses operated by Stagecoach run regularly to Portree. Check the schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive at the Portree bus station, it's just a short walk down to Quay Street. Follow the signs directing you towards the harbour, which should take approximately 10 minutes.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling from a more remote area of the Isle of Skye, consider hiring a taxi. Taxis can be booked in advance or can be found at local taxi stands. The fare will depend on your starting location, and it is advisable to confirm the cost before your journey. The taxi will drop you off right at Portree Harbour.

  If you are staying in Portree, walking to the harbour is a pleasant option. From the town center, head towards Quay Street, which is easily accessible. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, as the walk is relatively short and takes about 15-20 minutes.
