Car
If you're driving from the central area of Lake District National Park, take the A590 road heading south towards Barrow-in-Furness. Continue on the A590 until you reach the A595. Follow the A595 towards Whitehaven. Once you reach Whitehaven, follow the signs for St. Bees. Take the A5094 into St. Bees village, and follow the signs towards Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast. The reserve is located at 1 Trinity House Cottages, Sandwith, Whitehaven CA28 9UY. There is usually free parking available in St. Bees or near the coast, but be sure to check the local signage for any restrictions.

To reach Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast via public transport, start by taking a train to Whitehaven from Oxenholme Lake District railway station, which is within the Lake District National Park. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Whitehaven railway station, exit and take the bus towards St. Bees. The bus ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Get off at the bus stop in St. Bees village. From there, it’s a short walk following the signs towards the coastline and Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast, located at 1 Trinity House Cottages, Sandwith, Whitehaven CA28 9UY.
