Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Stirling, which is approximately 30 minutes from the central part of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. From the A84, take the exit towards the A91 and follow signs for Stirling. Once in Stirling, navigate to the Beheading Stone located at Stirling FK8 1AA. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that some areas may require a parking fee, so keep change handy.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Beheading Stone via public transportation, take a bus from various locations within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park to Stirling. Check local bus schedules for the most convenient routes and times. Once you arrive at Stirling bus station, it is roughly a 15-20 minute walk to Beheading Stone. Head southeast on Goosecroft Road, then continue onto the A91 and follow the signs for Beheading Stone. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as the walk includes some steep inclines.

• Walking from Stirling

  If you are already in Stirling, you can walk to Beheading Stone. Starting from the city center, head south on the A91. Follow the road for about 1.5 miles (approximately 30 minutes on foot). The path can be steep in parts, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. The views of Stirling from the top are rewarding, and you can follow the signs for Beheading Stone once you're close.
