If you are starting from Stirling city centre, make your way to St John Street. Head north on St John Street until you reach the junction with the A84. Cross over to the other side and continue straight onto the A873. Walk along the A873 for about 10 minutes, passing the Old Town Jail on your left. When you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A811 (also known as the Stirling Bridge). Continue walking until you see the signs for Stirling Castle. Follow the signs leading you uphill on Castle Wynd, and you will arrive at the castle entrance.

From Stirling Bus Station, take the number 54 or number 59 bus towards Bridge of Allan. Get off at the stop on Dumbarton Road near the Stirling Castle sign. After exiting the bus, walk up the hill on Castle Wynd, and you will reach the entrance of Stirling Castle in about 10 minutes.
