Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Manchester Piccadilly Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Piccadilly. From there, turn right onto Ducie Street, walk straight until you reach the junction with the A635(M) (also known as Mancunian Way). Cross the road safely at the traffic lights and continue onto Deansgate. Keep walking straight until you reach the junction with Bridgewater Street. Turn left onto Bridgewater Street, and you will see the entrance to Castlefield Basin at the end of the street, which is located along the Bridgewater Canal Tow Path.

• Public Transport - Tram

  From Manchester Piccadilly Station, take the Metrolink tram towards Altrincham or Eccles. Get off at the stop named 'Deansgate-Castlefield'. Once you exit the tram, follow the signs for the Bridgewater Canal. Walk along the canal towpath, and you will find Castlefield Basin, which is a short walk away.

• Walking

  If you are in the Northern Quarter area, start by heading south towards Piccadilly Gardens. From there, take the Piccadilly tram to Deansgate-Castlefield or walk south along Oldham Street, which will lead you to Deansgate. Once at Deansgate, turn left and proceed to the junction with Bridgewater Street, where you will find the entrance to Castlefield Basin at the Bridgewater Canal Tow Path.

• Public Transport - Bus

  From any central Manchester location, you can catch a bus that heads towards Deansgate or the city centre. Get off at the nearest stop to Deansgate, then walk towards the junction of Deansgate and Bridgewater Street. Walk down Bridgewater Street to reach the entrance of Castlefield Basin along the canal.
