If you are starting from Manchester Piccadilly, exit the station and head northwest on London Road towards Piccadilly Gardens. Continue walking towards the gardens and cross over to the opposite side of the street. From Piccadilly Gardens, take the tram towards MediaCityUK and get off at St Peter's Square. Once at St Peter's Square, exit the tram station and head towards the intersection of Oxford Street and Portland Street. Turn left onto Portland Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with Great Bridgewater Street. Turn right onto Great Bridgewater Street, and after a short walk, turn left onto Deansgate. Follow Deansgate until you reach Castle Street. Turn right onto Castle Street, and you will find Rochdale Canal Lock 92 at Castle St, Manchester M3 4RU.

From Manchester Piccadilly, head to the bus station located next to the train station. Look for bus services heading towards Castlefield or Deansgate.
