If you are starting from Manchester Piccadilly Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (London Road). Turn right and walk along London Road until you reach the junction with the A635(M) (also known as the Mancunian Way). Cross the road and continue straight to the roundabout. From there, take the first exit onto Deansgate. Continue walking on Deansgate until you reach the junction with the River Irwell. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the riverside path, following it until you reach the Castlefield area.
