Travel Guide to Old Eldon Square

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Newcastle Central Station, exit the station onto Neville Street. Head towards the city center, following the signs for 'City Centre'. You will reach a large roundabout. Continue straight onto the pedestrianized Northumberland Street. Walk along Northumberland Street until you reach the junction with Blackett Street. Turn left onto Blackett Street, and you will find Old Eldon Square on your right, just a short walk away.

• Walking

  From the Quayside area, head towards the Swing Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the road leading to the city center. You will find yourself on Bridge Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Northumberland Street. Turn right onto Northumberland Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Blackett Street. Turn left onto Blackett Street, and Old Eldon Square will be on your right.

• Public Transport

  If you are near the Eldonsquare Bus Station, take any bus that is heading towards the city center. Get off at the Eldon Square stop, which is situated right next to Old Eldon Square. Once you exit the bus, you will see the entrance to Old Eldon Square directly in front of you.

• Walking

  From Grey Street, one of the most beautiful streets in Newcastle, head north towards the intersection with Blackett Street. Once you reach the intersection, turn right onto Blackett Street. Continue walking, and Old Eldon Square will be a short distance ahead on your left.
