From any location along the Northumberland Coast, head towards the A1 road. If you're coming from the coastal towns like Alnwick or Seahouses, follow the signs for the A1 South. Continue on the A1 until you reach the junction for the A697 towards Wooler. Follow the A697 for approximately 14 miles until you reach Wooler. As you enter Wooler, follow the signs for the Cheviot Hills. You can park at the designated parking areas near the hills, but be aware that some parking may incur a small fee.

If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from major towns such as Alnwick or Berwick-upon-Tweed to Wooler. The bus service is operated by Arriva North East. Walking from Wooler to the hills is approximately 3 miles and takes about an hour, providing a scenic route through the countryside.
