Car
If you are driving, start on the A8 road heading west. Take the exit towards the A78 (signposted Greenock). Follow the A78 until you reach the exit for the A770 towards Inverkip. Continue on the A770 until you reach the village of Inverkip. Once in Inverkip, follow the signs for the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre. The final stretch will require you to take the Bridge Road, where you will see the visitor centre on your left. Parking is available at the visitor centre, and there is no charge for parking.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a train from Glasgow Central Station to Inverkip Station. The train journey takes about 40 minutes. From Inverkip Station, you can either take a taxi to the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre (approximately 10 minutes, costing around £10-£15) or walk. If you choose to walk, head north onto the A78 and then take the A770 towards the visitor centre. It will take around 45 minutes to walk, so be prepared for a pleasant hike through the countryside.
