From Selkirk, take the A7 road heading south. Continue on the A7 for approximately 6 miles until you reach the junction for the A6088 towards Hawick. Follow the A6088 for about 4 miles until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit onto the A7 towards Hawick. Continue on this road for another 3 miles. When you reach the town of Hawick, follow the signs for the A7 and then take a right onto the B6399. Drive for approximately 2 miles, and you will find Skelfhill Pen located near the coordinates 55.3185164, -2.8804559. There is no official parking area, so you may need to park along the road.

From Selkirk, take the bus service (check local schedules for the most current times) that heads towards Hawick. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Hawick, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to reach the vicinity of Skelfhill Pen. The closest bus stop is near the A7 and B6399 junction. Depending on the bus service, you might have to walk approximately 1 mile along the B6399 to reach Skelfhill Pen.
