Public Transport
From the Sheffield City Centre, walk to the Sheffield Interchange bus station. Take the bus number 272 towards Castleton. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Mam Tor' stop. From there, follow the signs for the Mam Tor Bridleway. It’s a short 10-minute walk along the bridleway to reach the start of the Mam Tor Ridge Path.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start your journey at the Sheffield Train Station. Head towards the Peak District National Park. This is a longer route, approximately 12 miles, and will take about 4 hours. Follow the A57 road out of Sheffield until you reach the village of Edale. From Edale, take the signposted path towards Mam Tor. The path is well marked and offers beautiful scenery along the way.

Combination of Train and Walking
Take a train from Sheffield Train Station to Edale. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Edale, follow the signs for the Mam Tor path. It’s about a 2-mile walk from Edale station to the base of Mam Tor, which should take approximately 40 minutes. Enjoy the stunning views as you approach the ridge.
