Walking
From Bryce Canyon City, start at the Visitor Center located at 1 Visitor Center Rd, Bryce, UT 84764. Head west on UT-12 E, walking along the side of the road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with UT-63 N, about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto UT-63 N and follow this road for approximately 7 miles. You will pass scenic views along the way. Once you reach the junction with Scenic Byway 12, proceed straight for another 9 miles until you see signs for Head of the Rocks Overlook on your right. Follow the marked path to the overlook.

If you have a bike, start from the Visitor Center at 1 Visitor Center Rd, Bryce, UT 84764. Ride west on UT-12 E, making a left onto UT-63 N after about 0.5 miles. Continue biking on UT-63 N for about 7 miles until you reach Scenic Byway 12. Then, take a left and ride for approximately 9 miles; watch for signs indicating Head of the Rocks Overlook. There is a designated bike path that will take you directly to the overlook.
