If you're driving from the main visitor areas within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, head towards Dutch John, UT. From the Flaming Gorge Dam, take UT-43 N for approximately 8 miles until you reach the junction with Red Canyon Road. Turn left onto Red Canyon Road and follow it for about 2 miles. The Red Canyon Overlook will be on your right, just past the Red Canyon Visitors Center located at 1475 Red Canyon Rd, Dutch John, UT 84023. There is no entrance fee specifically for the overlook, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition for mountain driving.
