Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main road in Aniwa and head towards the port area. Follow the signs towards the ferry terminal for Aore Island. The drive should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to refuel your car if necessary, as gas stations may be limited.
Ferry
Once you reach the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Aore Island. The ferry ride usually takes about 30 minutes. Ensure you check the ferry schedule in advance, as it may vary throughout the day. The cost of the ferry ticket is approximately 1,000 Vanuatu Vatu (VUV) per person.
Walking/Taxi
After disembarking from the ferry on Aore Island, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Freshwater Plantation. The plantation is located about 3 kilometers from the ferry terminal. If walking, follow the main road heading south, and keep an eye out for signs pointing to Freshwater Plantation. Alternatively, you can negotiate a fare with a local taxi driver to take you directly to the plantation.
