Walking
From the Sistine Chapel, exit through the main doors and head towards the Vatican Museums entrance. Once you are outside, turn left and walk down Viale Vaticano. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Turn right onto Via di Porta Angelica and continue walking straight. You will eventually reach the large square known as Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). From there, continue towards the large colonnade and exit the square onto Via della Conciliazione. Walk along this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, continue straight on Lungotevere Tor di Nona, then turn left onto Via dei Coronari. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Via di Torre Argentina. Turn right, and you will find the Roman Forum ahead.
Bus
From the Sistine Chapel, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via di Porta Angelica. Board Bus 64 towards 'Stazione Termini'. Stay on the bus for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the stop ‘Piazza Venezia’. From there, walk towards the Roman Forum, which is just a short distance away. Head down Via del Corso, then turn left onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, and you will reach the entrance to the Roman Forum.
Metro
Exit the Sistine Chapel and walk to the Ottaviano - San Pietro metro station, which is about a 15-minute walk. Head down Viale Vaticano and turn left on Via Ottaviano. Once at the station, take Line A (the orange line) towards 'Anagnina'. After three stops, get off at 'Termini' station. From Termini, transfer to Line B (the blue line) towards 'Laurentina' and get off at 'Colosseo' station. The Roman Forum is just a few minutes' walk from the station.
