From the nearest metro station, Ottaviano-San Pietro, take Line A (the red line) towards Anagnina. After 3 stops, get off at Termini station. Then, transfer to Line B (the blue line) and head towards Laurentina. Get off at the next stop, Circo Massimo. From there, you can walk to the Vatican Obelisk. Head north towards Via della Conciliazione, and you will see the Vatican Obelisk in St. Peter's Square.

If you are already in the vicinity of the Vatican Obelisk, you can easily walk to it. From Piazza Mincio, head south towards Via delle Milizie. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Turn left and follow the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge, and you will arrive at the Castel Sant'Angelo. From there, continue straight on Via della Conciliazione, and you will see the Vatican Obelisk at St. Peter's Square.
