Getting There

Walking
From the entrance of the Vatican Pinacoteca, head towards the main exit and walk straight ahead to the main road (Viale Vaticano). Turn left onto Viale Vaticano and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Via della Conciliazione. Follow this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once across, continue straight onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. After walking for about 15 minutes, you will reach Piazza Venezia. From there, head southeast toward Via dei Fori Imperiali, which will lead you directly to the Colosseum, located at Piazza del Colosseo.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Piazza del Risorgimento.' Catch the bus number 81 or 492 heading toward 'Stazione Termini.' After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the stop 'Piazza Venezia.' From there, walk southeast along Via dei Fori Imperiali for around 10 minutes until you reach the Colosseum, located at Piazza del Colosseo.

From the Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest metro station, Cipro (Line A). Take the metro heading towards 'Anagnina.' After about 5 stops, get off at the 'Termini' station. Transfer to Line B (Blue Line) and take the train towards 'Laurentina.' Get off at the next stop, 'Colosseo.' From there, follow the signs to exit the station, and you will find yourself just a short walk away from the Colosseum, located at Piazza del Colosseo.
