    From Vatican Pinacoteca, head south on Viale Vaticano towards Via di Porta Angelica. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Via di Porta Angelica. Follow this road as it turns into Via della Conciliazione. Keep walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the bridge (Ponte Sant'Angelo) and continue walking straight on Lungotevere Castello. Once you reach the intersection with Via della Domus Aurea, turn left. The Domus Aurea will be on your right.

    From Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano (Line A). Take the metro towards Anagnina. Get off at the Termini station (3 stops). At Termini, transfer to Line B towards Laurentina and get off at the Colosseo station. From Colosseo, walk towards Via della Domus Aurea; it should be about a 10-minute walk. Head northwest on Via della Domus Aurea, and the Domus Aurea will be on your left.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via di Porta Angelica. Take bus number 81 towards Labia. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop named Colosseo. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk. Head southeast on Via della Domus Aurea, and you will find the Domus Aurea on your right.
