Walking
From the entrance of the Vatican Pinacoteca, head southeast towards Viale Vaticano. Turn right onto Viale Vaticano and follow it until you reach the main road. Continue straight until you reach Piazzale degli Eroi. From there, follow the signs pointing towards Janiculum Hill, which is located to the west of the Vatican. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes, and you will be walking through beautiful streets of Rome.
Public Transport
Exit the Vatican Pinacoteca and walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Viale Vaticano. Take Bus number 913 towards 'Gianicolo', and get off at the stop named 'Gianicolo'. From the bus stop, walk up the hill towards the main viewing area of Janiculum Hill. The total journey including the bus and walking should take around 30-40 minutes.
