    If you are already at the Vatican Pinacoteca, exit the building and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. From there, walk straight towards the entrance of St. Peter's Square. Once you reach St. Peter's Square, look for the bus stops located at the square's edges. You can catch a bus to Santa Severa from here.

    From the Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the Ottaviano Metro Station which is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the station, take Line A in the direction of Anagnina. Get off at the Termini Station. At Termini, transfer to the FL5 train towards Civitavecchia and get off at the Santa Severa station. The castle is about a 15-minute walk from the station; simply follow the signs to the castle.

    For a more direct option, you can also take a taxi from the Vatican Pinacoteca. Walk to the nearest taxi stand outside the Vatican Museums.
