Getting There

• Car

  From Norfolk, take I-64 W toward Richmond. Continue on I-64 W for about 45 miles. Take exit 242A to merge onto US-60 W toward Williamsburg. Follow US-60 W for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection with the Colonial Parkway. Turn left onto the Colonial Parkway and follow it for approximately 6 miles. Take the exit for Historic Jamestowne. The entrance will be on your left at 1368 Colonial Nat'l Historical Pkwy, Jamestown, VA 23081. Note that parking at Historic Jamestowne is $10 per vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  If you are starting from downtown Norfolk, take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus route 45 to the Williamsburg Transportation Center. From there, you can catch a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to Historic Jamestowne, which is approximately a 20-minute drive away. Ensure to check the current schedule for HRT buses as they may vary.

• Car

  From Virginia Beach, take I-264 W toward Norfolk. Merge onto I-64 W and follow the same route as mentioned for Norfolk above. This will also take approximately 1 hour depending on traffic conditions. Remember to account for the $10 parking fee upon arrival.

• Car

  From Chesapeake, take US-17 N toward the James River Bridge. Merge onto I-64 W and follow the same instructions as from Norfolk. The journey should take around 50 minutes. Be prepared for the $10 parking fee at Historic Jamestowne.
