If you're traveling by car, head toward Vienna, Virginia. The Freeman Store & Museum is located at 131 Church St NE, Vienna, VA 22180. From I-495 (Capital Beltway), take exit 46A for VA-123 N (Chain Bridge Rd) toward Vienna. Continue on VA-123 N for about 4 miles. Turn left onto Church St NE, and you will find the museum on your right. There is street parking available nearby, but it can be limited, especially on weekends.
Public Transportation - Metro
If you're using public transportation, the closest Metro station is the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metro station on the Orange Line. From the station, you can take the Fairfax Connector bus 1A or 1B towards Dunn Loring Metro Station. Exit the bus at the Church St NE stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the Freeman Store & Museum, which will be about 0.3 miles away. Follow Church St NE, and you will reach the museum in approximately 6-7 minutes.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those relying on bus services, you can take the Metrobus route 1D or 1A to the Vienna area. If you are coming from the West Falls Church area, take the 1D bus to Church St NE. Disembark at the Church St NE stop and walk about 5 minutes to reach the museum. The bus fare is typically around $2.00 to $3.00 depending on your starting point.
Walking from Vienna Metro Station
If you prefer to walk from the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metro station, it will take approximately 25 minutes. Exit the station and head northeast on Nutley St NW. Turn right onto Maple Ave E and then left onto Church St NE. Continue on Church St NE until you reach the Freeman Store & Museum at 131 Church St NE. This scenic walk is also a great way to explore the charming town of Vienna.
