Car
If you are driving, start from Ashford, WA. Head east on WA-706 E for about 12 miles. Look for the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Pay the entrance fee at the park gate (approximately $30 per vehicle). Continue on WA-706 E until you reach the junction with the road leading to the High Rock Lookout trailhead. Follow the signs for High Rock Lookout, which is located off of the main road. The parking area will be on your left.

From the parking area at the High Rock Lookout trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 3 miles along the trail to reach the lookout. Follow the well-marked trail that ascends gradually. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water. The trail can be steep in sections, so take your time and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The lookout offers a stunning view of Mount Rainier, and it's recommended to check the weather conditions beforehand.
