Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Spokane, head north on N Division St toward E Riverside Ave. Continue on N Division St for approximately 4 miles. Then turn left onto E Francis Ave and continue for about 2 miles. Next, turn right onto N Nine Mile Rd and follow it for about 1 mile until you reach the Riverside State Park Highway 291 Day-Use Area at 13357 N Nine Mile Rd, Spokane, WA 99208. There is parking available at the day-use area.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take the Spokane Transit Authority bus route 25 from downtown Spokane. Board the bus at any major stop and ride until you reach the stop near the intersection of E Francis Ave and N Nine Mile Rd. This should take approximately 30 minutes. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along N Nine Mile Rd to reach Riverside State Park Highway 291 Day-Use Area. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the most current times and routes.

• Bicycle

  If you're interested in biking, you can rent a bike from a local shop in downtown Spokane. From downtown, head north on N Division St, then make your way to E Francis Ave, and follow the same route as the car directions. This option provides a scenic ride, but be prepared for some traffic on certain roads. The total distance is about 7 miles one way.
