If you are in the historic district of Harpers Ferry, start at the Harpers Ferry Visitor Center located at 171 Shoreline Drive. From the Visitor Center, head south on Shoreline Drive toward the Potomac River. Continue straight as you cross the railroad tracks and enter Potomac Street. Follow Potomac Street for about 0.5 miles. Armory Canal will be on your right between 130 and 198 Potomac St. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

If you are driving, start from the Harpers Ferry Visitor Center at 171 Shoreline Drive. Take Shoreline Drive and turn right onto Route 340. Follow Route 340 for about 1 mile and then take the exit for Harpers Ferry. Once you arrive in the town, look for Potomac Street. Turn left onto Potomac Street and continue for about 0.5 miles. Armory Canal will be on your right at the address 130-198 Potomac St. Parking is available on-site but may incur a fee depending on the time of visit.

To reach Harpers Ferry via public transportation, take the MARC Train from Washington, D.C. or the Amtrak train from various locations. Both services stop at Harpers Ferry Station. Once you arrive at the station, you can either walk to Armory Canal (approximately 0.7 miles) or take a local taxi service. If you choose to walk, head southeast on Washington Street, then turn right onto Potomac Street. Walk around 0.5 miles to reach Armory Canal at 130-198 Potomac St. Be prepared for a short walk from the train station.
