Walking
Start at the Eau Claire City Hall located at 203 S Farwell St, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Head south on S Farwell St toward E Grand Ave. Continue straight onto S Barstow St. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto E Madison St. Walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the bus stop at the corner of E Madison St and S Hastings Way.

From the bus stop at E Madison St and S Hastings Way, take the Eau Claire Transit bus route 5 towards the 'North Crossing'. Stay on the bus for approximately 40 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop near the intersection of US-53 and the County Rd. S exit. After disembarking, walk south along County Rd. S for about 0.3 miles until you reach the historical marker located at Greenfield, WI 54601.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Chippewa River State Trail entrance located at 50-99 Gibbs Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Ride south along the trail for about 3 miles until you reach US-53. Continue onto County Rd. S and ride for an additional 0.5 miles. The historical marker will be on your right at Greenfield, WI 54601.
