Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the Old Faithful area, which is a central location in Yellowstone. Head north on the Grand Loop Road towards Madison Junction. Continue on the Grand Loop Road for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction at Norris Geyser Basin. Turn left onto Norris-Canyon Road and follow it for about 8 miles until you reach the North Entrance. From there, turn right onto the road leading to Black Dragon's Caldron, which will be roughly a 5-minute drive.
