Cusco
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco city and begin the journey to Ollantaytambo
We arrive in Ollantaytambo ready to get the famous train to the start point of the hike.
Chachabamba
Once off the train, we head to our first ruin of the inca trail- Chachabamba. You will enjoy a guided tour here before embarking on the short Inca Trail hike.
After hiking for several hours, we arrive to Wiñay Wayna, one of the most iconic ruins on the Inca Trail. From here you will have a chance to explore the ruins- from top to bottom!
We arrive at the highest point of the hike, and the iconic doorway to Machu Picchu. Inti Punku is where you will have your first glimpses of Machu Picchu and a well deserved rest, before winding your way down into the citadel.
We made it! You will get to explore circuit 1 at your leisure before making your way down to Aguas Calientes (bus included)
We finally arrive to Aguas Calientes where you can rest up for the evening- or head off to the hot springs, explore the markets, or grab a celebratory cocktail. However you like!
We head up the mountain nice and early, so that you can enter Machu Picchu at first light, enjoying a guided tour of the citadel and exploring at your leisure.
Cusco
After you have explored Machu Picchu to your hearts content, we head back down the mountain and return to Cusco, with hotel drop-off included.
