What to expect
The Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium. It is located in the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills, it was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome. It measured 621 m (2,037 ft) in length and 118 m (387 ft) in width and could accommodate over 150,000 spectators.
The Baths of Caracalla were the city's second largest Roman public baths, or thermae, after the Baths of Diocletian. The baths were likely built between AD 212 (or 211) and 216/217, during the reigns of emperors Septimius Severus and Caracalla. They were in operation until the 530s and then fell into disuse and ruin.

The Porta San Sebastiano is the largest and one of the best-preserved gates passing through the Aurelian Walls in Rome.

The Tomb of Caecilia Metella is one of the most well known and well preserved monuments along the Via Appia. It was built during the 1st century BC to honor Caecilia Metella, who was the daughter of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus.

The Caffarella Park is a large park in the heart of Rome. It is part of the Parco Regionale Appia Antica. The Caffarella Valley and is bordered on its northern side by the Via Latina and on its southern by the Appian Way.
