Walking
From the Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once outside, walk straight towards Viale Vaticano. Turn left onto Viale Vaticano and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Cross the street and you will see St. Peter's Basilica directly ahead. Continue walking straight until you reach the large piazza in front of St. Peter's Basilica. From there, take the steps down towards Via della Conciliazione, and you will see signs leading to Circus Maximus.

From the Sistine Chapel, exit towards the Vatican Museums entrance. Walk to the nearest bus stop on Viale Vaticano. Look for the bus stop labeled 'Cavalleggeri/Musei Vaticani'. Take Bus 23 towards 'Stazione Trastevere'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Circus Maximus' stop. From there, walk a short distance to Circus Maximus, which will be clearly visible as you exit the bus.
