Walking
From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums and head towards the main entrance. Once outside, walk straight ahead towards the Vatican City gates. After passing through the gates, turn left onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight, and you will reach the nearest metro station, Ottaviano. Take the Line A (the red line) towards Anagnina. After 5 stops, get off at the Termini station. From Termini, transfer to Line B (the blue line) and head towards Laurentina. Get off at the Circo Massimo stop. Exit the station and walk towards Via di San Gregorio, then continue straight until you reach the Via Appia Antica. The Circus of Maxentius will be located at Via Appia Antica, 153.

Public Transport
Start by exiting the Sistine Chapel and going to the nearest bus stop, which is located outside the Vatican Museums. Look for bus number 81 or 870. Board the bus and stay on for about 12 stops. Get off at the stop named 'Colosseo'. From there, walk towards the Colosseum and continue on Via di San Gregorio. This road leads directly to the Via Appia Antica. Follow the signs, and you will find the Circus of Maxentius at Via Appia Antica, 153.
