Private Tour Sintra from Lisbon Palaces of Pena & Regaleira

The trip was incredible. It was all day and we learned so much! Pedro was incredible. He was so knowledgable so kind and an amazing tour guide! He asked us in the morning what places we definitely want to see and made recommendations throughout the day. He knew so much about the history and food recommendations including what we really needed to see and what we could skip. I highly highly recommend this tour - especially with Pedro!!!

We had an incredible private tour with Carlos to Sintra from Lisbon. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and interesting for the whole family. Carlos made the visit to Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira truly special with his deeply knowledgeable and engaging stories. Amazing experience! Our driver/tourguide Miguel was truly fabulous. From sharing little insights that would otherwise go unknown/unobserved to ensuring that we were thoroughly enjoying all the sites we visited, Miguel felt like being with close family. This was a treat from start to finish!! And the restaurant on the beach that he arranged for lunch was to die for!! If you’re looking for a great day trip with a first rate outfit, I recommend this hands down!!

My husband, teenage son and I had the pleasure of doing two private tours to Sintra with the one and only Carlos. From the moment Carlos picked us up we knew we were in for a treat! He is punctual, knowledgeable, caring, very entertaining and easy-going. Because of his traits, Carlos catered to all of our needs even if we had requests on the spot or suggested alternative plans to spare us from getting excessively tired or keeping in mind the weather. His spontaneity led to great moments like when he made a quick stop to buy us some regional snacks that he thought we might like (and we did). He even gave us time to do some shopping and gave excellent advice on where to get quality items but at a better price. When it comes to kids, Carlos is a pro! Our son, who is very shy, opened up to Carlos right away. While in the car, Carlos played songs that our son liked and even some he didn't like (which was part of the fun and the banter). In some instances, we even sang some out loud. We visited popular sites including Quinta da Regaleira, Cabo da Roca, The Moorish Castle and Azenhas do Mar. We also explored the less visited Park and Palace of Monserrate and Capuchos Convent and avoided (by choice) Pena Palace which in our opinion is overrated. I am happy to report that we fully enjoyed all of these places and learned a lot about them thanks to Carlos' valuable commentary. I also want to point that booking these tours was seamless thanks to Pedro Alves, who is in charge of this process. He kept in mind our requests and patiently answered the many questions that I had. If you are looking for a reliable tour company, I Go Portugal should be high on your list.

He took the time to understand what we enjoyed and customized the tour to fit our interests. When our kids wanted to visit the beach, Pedro took us to two amazing spots. At Sintra, he expertly managed our time, ensuring we saw everything without feeling rushed or wasting time. Throughout the trip, Pedro kept our children entertained with fascinating stories and the rich history of Portugal, making the experience fun and engaging for them. Usually, traveling with kids can be challenging, but Pedro made it easy and enjoyable for everyone!
