Carlos was a wonderful guide for a day trip to the Cintra area, incuding the Pena Palace, Cabo de Roca, and the Cascais waterfront. He was flexible when we needed to adjust our itinerary to start later, and he also adjusted our tour to include more walking and outdoor activities. Carlos was knowledgeable about the area, full of interesting historical and cultural stories. He was able to give us a real sense of the area in a short single-day tour. Sintra is a lovely area, and Carlos was an excellent guide! I would highly recommend I Go Portugal and Carlos to anyone looking to explore the area surrounding Lisbon!

Carlos was absolutely amazing! My friend and I had the best time exploring Sintra (Pena Palace and Montserrat Palace), Cabo da Roca and Cascais thanks to his in-depth knowledge, enthusiasm, incredible photography skills, good taste in music and great time management. He also took us to a wonderful cafe to try the local delicacies, which was such a treat! I’ve already recommended Carlos to some friends who want to explore Sintra and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of booking a tour!

We had a wonderful day touring Sintra with our local guide Carlos! He picked us up right at our hotel in Lisbon and we were off on an adventure. Carlos was a wealth of knowledge, adding lots of history, horticulture, and stories to our stops at the Pena Palace, downtown Sintra, and Quinta da Regaliera. Other visitors in line kept listening in to all the details he was giving us! It was a wonderful experience. The next day I even messaged Carlos inquiring about a good local beach to visit and he recommend a wonderful spot with a delicious restaurant and a view of the water. Highly recommend!

I love the entire team. Sonia, Miguel, Pedro, and Pedro. My wife is a travel agent. She was having a hard time finding a tour company that would accommodate a group. When I say she lucked upon a jewel with this company. The time, care, and knowledge of the three tours we took. I was in awe of everything that was explained about the history , food and wine of their culture. I highly recommend this company for all your tours, in Lisbon.

Our day with Anna was completely customized to our interests. She picked us up from the hotel and gave us options for the day. We explored Quinta da Regaleira with her - her knowledge of the history and layers of meaning built into the palace added a lot to our understanding and experience. She continued to be flexible through the day as we came across stores to stop in and sights to see. She suggested local cuisine with generations of ownership including a bakery in Sintra and a beautiful beach front seafood restaurant. At every sight we explored, Anna did a great job of bringing interesting stories to our group. It was a great way to see many of the areas surrounding Lisbon.

I highly recommend a day trip to Sintra. It is absolutely beautiful. Our guide was very friendly and we had an enjoyable time with him. It would be even better if he could share more information about Sintra and the palaces we visited, as it felt very much like a self-guided tour.
