Getting There

  • Public Transport

    The most common way to reach Theth National Park is by taking a minibus from Shkodër. Minibuses typically depart from Shkodër around 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM near the Rozafa Hotel. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. The cost is around 12 euros (approximately 1250 LEK) per person. It's best to arrange transport through your guesthouse in Shkodër or book online in advance. Upon arrival in Theth, the minibus will drop you off at Mini Market Jezerca.

  • Driving

    Driving to Theth requires caution and is best suited for experienced mountain drivers with a 4x4 vehicle. The road from Shkodër to Theth is now mostly paved but remains narrow and winding with potential for rock slides. From Shkodër, take the SH1 main road and turn onto SH21 at Koplik. The drive from Koplik to Theth takes around 1.5 hours. Parking is available in Theth, but it can be limited. Be aware that gas prices are relatively high in Albania. Damage to the underside of a car is usually not covered by insurance.
