Walking
From the Vall de Sorteny Natural Park car park, follow the well-marked trail towards Estany de l'Estanyó. The hike is approximately 4.3 km and takes around 3 hours for the outward journey and 2.5 hours for the return. The trail climbs steadily, passing by the Estripagecs sculptures and the botanical garden. Continue along the main path until you reach the Borda de Sorteny manned refuge. Pass the refuge and head towards the Planell del Quer, from where you can enjoy panoramic views. The path is marked with yellow dots. No specific costs are associated with this final approach, as it is a hiking trail within a natural park.

Public Transport
From Ordino, take the L6 bus towards El Serrat. From July 1st to the first Sunday in September, a bus line regularly serves the Sorteny car park during the day between 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM, every 30 minutes. The bus fare is approximately €0.20 per person. Once at the Sorteny car park, follow the walking directions to reach Estany de l'Estanyó.

Driving
From Ordino, take the CG-3 road towards Ordino-Arcalís until km 18. Turn right onto the CS-370 road towards Vall de Sorteny Natural Park. Continue on this road to the Vall de Sorteny Natural Park car park. Parking is free with tour reservation. The parking is subject to charges during July and August. From the car park, follow the walking directions to reach Estany de l'Estanyó.
