If you are driving from the central area of Okavango Basin, head south on the main road towards the city of Benguela. The most common route is to take the EN-105 road. Continue on this road for approximately 170 kilometers until you reach the city center of Benguela. From there, look for C779 road, which is well-marked. Follow C779 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the coordinates C779+2QW. Parking is available nearby, but be cautious as the last stretch may require a short hike to reach the beach.

Public Transportation

To use public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi from any major town in the Okavango Basin towards Benguela. Ensure you confirm that the bus is heading to the central bus station in Benguela. Once you arrive at the station, take a local taxi to C779 road. You can negotiate the fare, which should be around 500 Kwanza. After reaching C779, you may need to walk or hike about 1 kilometer to reach Praia da Caotinha.

Walking/Hiking

Once you have reached C779+2QW, be prepared for a steep climb to access Praia da Caotinha. The pathway may not be well-maintained, so wear appropriate hiking shoes.
