From the town center of El Chaltén, head south on Avenida San Martín towards the trailhead for the Laguna de los Tres hike. Once you reach the trailhead, follow the well-marked path that leads to the Mirador del Fitz Roy. The hike is about 2 hours one way, with a gradual ascent.
