Getting There

  • Walking

    Verkamp's Visitor Center is located in the Grand Canyon Village Historic District, a short walk east of the El Tovar Hotel and Hopi House. From the Grand Canyon Village Market, walk south on Village Loop Drive, then turn left onto South Entrance Road. The visitor center will be on your left. No costs are associated with walking.

  • Public Transport

    Take the free park shuttle bus. If arriving by shuttle, take the Blue/Village Route to the Train Depot stop. From there, climb the stairway to the top of the hill to reach the El Tovar Hotel, Hopi House, and Verkamp's Visitor Center. There is no cost to ride the shuttle.

  • Driving

    From Highway 64, follow signs to Grand Canyon Village. Parking is available in lots throughout Grand Canyon Village, but can be limited, especially during peak season. Parking lots A-D are located in the Village. Consider parking at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and taking the free Village Route shuttle to avoid parking hassles. There is no fee to enter the park with the America the Beautiful pass, or it costs $35 per vehicle.
