Walking
The Three Mile Resthouse is located 3 miles down the Bright Angel Trail from the trailhead. The Bright Angel Trailhead is located just west of the Bright Angel Lodge in Grand Canyon Village. From the trailhead, follow the well-maintained Bright Angel Trail downhill for 3 miles. The trail is steep and includes switchbacks. Be sure to stay on the trail and watch for mule trains.

Public Transport
To reach the Bright Angel Trailhead using public transportation, take the free Village Route (Blue Route) shuttle bus from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center to the Bright Angel Lodge. From the Hermit Road Interchange shuttle bus stops, it is a short walk to the east and up the hill on a paved footpath to the trailhead. From there, follow the walking directions for 3 miles down the Bright Angel Trail to the Three Mile Resthouse. There is no fee to ride the shuttle.

Parking
To reach the Bright Angel Trailhead by car, follow signs to Grand Canyon Village. Limited parking is available near the Bright Angel Lodge. Additional parking is available at the Backcountry Information Center (Lot D), with a 5-10 minute walk to the trailhead. Alternatively, park at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and take the free Village Route (Blue Route) shuttle bus to the Bright Angel Lodge. Grand Canyon National Park Entrance Fee: $35 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.
